2 Attitude The way you think or feel about someone or something is known as your attitude. A person’s attitude can change from one situation to the next. We must realize that we create our OWN attitude. A positive attitude at home, school or work can help you to get along better with others. It will increase your motivation and improve the quality of your work.

3 The Importance of Having a Positive Attitude
Being positive affects your entire work experience, and it starts with the interview. If you get hired, being positive will take you a step further. You’ll find that you actually enjoy working if you find a job you like. Having a positive attitude demands that you make an effort to stay positive in every situation you encounter. Here’s 5 tips for a positive attitude: Avoid negative thinking and complaining Spend time with people who have a positive attitude Be thankful for your job Give yourself a chance to recharge Reward yourself for doing a good job

4 Keeping your focus Means to center your attention on the task that you’re supposed to be working on. In order to prepare yourself for success in the workplace, it is important to learn to keep your focus. People that are able to focus on a task are more experienced workers. They don’t waste time on things that aren’t important to their job. Focusing on one task at a time helps you met deadlines. 5 Doing Your Best To do your best means to try your hardest, and always try to reach excellence in your work. In about every job there’s a person who’s in charge of your work performance. That person is known as your manager, supervisor, or boss. It’s important to learn and accept and respond to this guidance. You need to accept your managers guidance, respect their experience, and their skill. Your manager is going to help you succeed in the job. How you respond to guidance is based on your attitude. If your positive about your job and your supervisor, and you will be able to respond appropriately. Here are 5 tips to help you out: Follow procedures or steps you should take to do things Ask for help, directions and instructions Accept advice and constructive criticism Acknowledge or recognize experience and skill or knowledge Handle negative criticism politely

7 Controlling Your Emotions
Make sure when you join the workforce you are able to control your emotions. Different places have different rules and expectations so make sure you follow them. Sometimes it’s difficult to control your emotions, mainly when you feel strongly about a certain thing. Being able to control your emotions is not only good for work it’s also good for your social life. 8 Being Flexible To be flexible means to be willing to adapt to change. Being flexible in your work requires that you keep an open mind. There are many situations in the workplace where you will need to be flexible. When it comes to work it’s worth a lot flexibility on the job includes the willingness and ability to respond to changing circumstances. 9 Conclusion: It all comes back to a person’s attitude. When you have a positive attitude you see things differently. You are most likely to succeed because you tell yourself that you can. When you have a negative or pessimistic attitude, you are setting yourself up for failure. The more you practice having a positive attitude the more naturally it will come. Forming a habit starts with things you say. As you repeat the positive behavior, it will develop into a habit. Only YOU can control your attitude and your ability to do well at work.
