Transition to Recognition Training “What am I” after Recognition Day

2 Sequence of Events Thursday, March 28:
0520 – 1st Call for Recognition PT Friday, March 29: st Call for Leadership Classes [Part 2 of “The Citadel Experience” & “Leadership”] 1710 – First Call for “The Gauntlet” + Victory Lap (ACU w/o Blouse or cover, wear camelback) 1850 – Class set (122 push ups) 1858 – Address by Regimental Commander 1900 – 4th Class System ends Knob Recognition by upperclassmen 1900 – Regimental cookout in all battalions Saturday, March 30: 1220 – Formation for Recognition Luncheon – Luncheon with Special Guests 1400 – 1st Call for Oath Renewal 1405 – Formation w/assembly on street 1430 – March to Marion Square 1600 – Approximate Return to campus 2400 – 4th Class leave ends

3 “What Am I” After Recognition Day
Mention: Privileges that disrupt good order and discipline in the Company will be taken away. Regimental Commander’s decision to make the knobs walk 120, eat mess at Attention, etc. if there’s a problem with discipline throughout the Corps. They’re knobs with their chins untucked. Standards do not change. “What Am I” After Recognition Day 4th Class Private (NOT a Knob) Privileges 4th Class Private Duties Transition on all sidewalks, including front of battalions. NO 120 Walking Pace Scheduled Sweep Details At-ease in Mess NO Squaring Corners, Bracing, “Driving Stairs”, saluting cadet officers ESP Standards – NO CHANGE. Food Delivery to barracks Cell Phone on Gallery (not outside BN) NO “Quad Privileges” Gallery privileges (within good order and discipline, e.g. no ironing or sleeping on galleries) NO Driving Vehicles In Vicinity of Campus Privileges not academically based until next academic year (i.e. still have 4C curfew) NO Gaming systems Uniform NO Broken Uniform (including in Room) NO Upper-class Items (e.g. pass-down pants, rank insignia, etc.) Optional cover in Battalion

4 Transition to Recognition Training - Discussion
Anticipate their questions. Encourage them, because this is the only opportunity they will have. Pull up white book and blue book if you have to.
