The power sector in India had an installed capacity of GW as of 31 December Renewable power plants constituted 28.9% of total installed capacity.[4] The gross electricity generated by utilities is 1,106 TWh and 166 TWh by captive power plants during the 2014–15 fiscal.
The FY (Fiscal Year) is turning out to be a phenomenal year for the Indian power sector with the record power (Renewable) capacity addition, power generation and even a record domestic coal production.
