2 Define the term homeostasis.
Body parts and cells can only function within certain internal conditions. The body’s ability to maintain a stable internal environment is called homeostasis. Water level pH Temperature Salts

3 Explain how homeostatic mechanisms are regulated using examples in humans.
How does your body stay at regulated temperature? Homeostatic Mechanisms: Receptors – Send info to CNS about changing conditions. Set Point – what a particular value should be. Effectors – cause responses to return to set point.

6 What is a positive feedback mechanism?
Positive feedback does not seek a set point. These are used to stimulate further change. blood clotting delivering a baby fighting viral infections
