Define the term homeostasis.
Body parts and cells can only function within certain internal conditions. The body’s ability to maintain a stable internal environment is called homeostasis. Water level pH Temperature Salts

Explain how homeostatic mechanisms are regulated using examples in humans.
How does your body stay at regulated temperature? Homeostatic Mechanisms: Receptors – Send info to CNS about changing conditions. Set Point – what a particular value should be. Effectors – cause responses to return to set point.

What is a positive feedback mechanism?
Positive feedback does not seek a set point. These are used to stimulate further change. blood clotting delivering a baby fighting viral infections
