Intravital microscopy (IVM, 2-photon) imaging of ileal villi in TCRγδGFP (GFP = green channel) mice. Mice were injected with Hoechst (blue channel) before imaging to visualize all nuclei (blue). A luminal-to-crypt vertical orientation is shown. Anatomical (sub)compartments of the intestinal mucosa are shown as: Lu, lumen; IE, intraepithelial compartment; LP, lamina propria compartment.
