People centric view of the OS The people in your app are easy to access right from the taskbar Apps in panel support a person centric view of your app More emotive experiences enhance your communications Hello everyone, my name is Allison O’Mahony from Windows Shell team. And I am here with Tony Pendolino from the Dev Platform team. We are here to tell you about My People and how we are elevating people in Windows. In Windows 10, UWP app developers can take advantage of new experiences that allow contacts provided by their apps to be elevated in Windows.  Developers can build apps that makes it possible for the user to pin their favorite people to the taskbar, enabling quick and easy communication with their favorite apps.  There is a special treatment of notifications for people on the taskbar And developers can take advantage of a direct line of sharing with people via Drag and drop capabilities directly on to the taskbar And lighting up people in the share picker to make it easy to share with the right people at the right time. This session will cover the experiences developers can now build using the My People framework that will drive increased acquisition and engagement with your app in Windows 10. Now let’s dive into how an app developer gets their contacts to show up on the taskbar and provide direct communication through your app. Tony, will show how you can write contacts into Windows contact store where they will show up in the People app and be able to be pinned to the taskbar. © Microsoft Corporation.
