2 God’s Eternal Kindom Revelation 22 A pure river of water of life
Psalm 46 v 4 speaks of the river that makes glad the city of God Must be prophetic and has not yet happened Ezekiel 47 v 1 – 12 – millennium or new heaven and earth? Either way the life-giving principle holds good John 7 verses 38 and 39 – the river equates to the Holy Spirit The last day of the feast, prophetic of when Christ comes to tabernacle with His people, He speaks of living waters proceeding from those filled with The Spirit Psalm 1 – it has always been our destiny to benefit from the river of life Zechariah 14 verse 18 – though a millennial scripture, carries the same principle People will be familiar with God’s river for a thousand years before it is established in the Eternal Kindom

3 God’s Eternal Kindom Isaiah 12 v refers to drawing from the well of salvation with joy Jeremiah 2 v 13 – the prophet rebukes the people for abandoning the spring of living water and digging their own cisterns that would not hold water. John 4 v 13 & 14 – the woman at the well was bidden to drink of the waters of life Water is the symbol of life from God Water is also the symbol of the Spirit poured out

4 God’s Eternal Kingdom Note – the throne of God and of the Lamb
Joint rule – equality On either side of the river was the tree of life How does this work? Like aspen? Like redwoods? The language suggests lots of trees of the same type Did each yield fruit every month? Was it a different fruit or a repeat of last month’s? We should note that this indicates that there is still time – months Genesis 2 v 9 – this tree was in the centre of Eden

5 God’s Eternal Kingdom Proverbs 3 v 15 – 18 – wisdom is a tree of life
Proverbs 11 contrasts good and evil & v 30 says – righteousness is a tree of life Proverbs 13 particularly verse 12 – satisfied righteous desire Proverbs 15 v 4 – a soothing tongue All of these refer to what brings joy and healing Genesis 2 and 3 various places – once man fell he was no longer entitled to eat of the tree of life – salvation would come from elsewhere.

6 God’s Eternal Kingdom Leaves for healing? No more curse
What’s this about? There is no sickness or pain! Therapeia – attendance, household, domestics – has overtones of maintaining health or wholeness No more curse Curse came with the fall The fall completely dealt with But the throne of God will be there This is allied to the lack of curse The curse is because we cannot fellowship with Him – this has changed

7 God’s Eternal Kingdom His servants shall serve Him
Doulos – bondservants – those whom He had purchased Shall serve – pay homage, to minister or even to worship And shall see His face Exodus 33 v 20 no man can see God’s face and live – this has changed And His name shall be in their foreheads Rev 14 v 1 – this is said of the Revelation 3 v 12 – He will write his name upon the overcomers When you name someone you take ownership – we are His!

8 God’s Eternal Kingdom No Night And they shall reign forever and ever
Night always associated with sin Darkness with the kingdom of Satan John 9 v 4 Jesus speaks of Himself being the light of the world He speaks of a time while He is here and a time when night will come and no one can work. Exodus 34 v 35 – the affect of being with God on Moses – no need for a veil here And they shall reign forever and ever Since when did bondservants reign? The greatest among you shall be the servant of you all

9 God’s Eternal Kingdom Words faithful and true
Genuine and dependable Without fiction He is the Lord God of the Holy Prophets The one spoken of in every line of every book they wrote The one who showed He knows the end from the beginning Who demonstrated his power And His foreknowledge And His control over history He sent His angel to tell us – he did not want this sealed up

10 God’s Eternal Kingdom Daniel 8 v 26 – seal up the vision
Daniel 12 v 4 – sealed up until the end times These are the end times so no more need to seal anything up God has chosen to be transparent with His people Behold I am coming quickly Once it starts if will quickly be completed Blessed are those who keeps the words Guards – from loss or injury Keep an eye on – prevent from escaping.
