9. TONSILLECTOMY-1
For chronic tonsilltitis or large tonsils obstructing the airway, it is recommended the “Tonsillectomy” operation.
We use the bipolar, radiofrequency, monopolar and cold dissection technics for tonsillectomy operations.
After the operation, hidration via intravenous serum, analgesic and antibiotic treatment will be given.
After the operation, the patient is advised to stay in Konya city at least 2 or 3 weeks for under the control of the patient.

After the operation, pain is expected as low, mild or severe. For all of the pain types, all kind of analgesics may be prescribed when necessary.
The probability of the bleeding after the operation is minimal (%1-3) but this must be keep in mind. Once bleeding is observed after the operation, the patient may be needed to be re-taken into the operation room.

In general, children are affected from this disaese but this may be delayed until the adolesant age.
When “Adenoidectomy” operation is performed is timely, the patient will not face- of the nasal obstruction, frequent otitis media, and the deformities of the palate and jaws.
