A Student Growth Percentile compares a student’s academic growth to that of his or her academic peers nationwide.

3. STAR Student Growth Percentile
A Student Growth Percentile of 85 means the growth of the school, class, or student from one test to another was better than 85% of students at a similar achievement level in the same grade
SGP indicates what kind of progress the student is making and promotes productive, data-driven conversation about creating educational environments in which ALL students thrive and grow academically.
