3 PHASE I GOALS PHASE I DELIVERABLES
Create electrical schematics for device Finalize CAD model of device Create new iteration of chamber mold PHASE I DELIVERABLES Updated PDMS mold of cell chamber. Electrical Schematic Complete CAD model of device Problem-Tracking Document Updated Risk Assessment Updated Bill of Materials MSD II Project Plan

4 Chamber Mold I will say something along these lines: The main change we made to this mold compared to the others is that there will be a cut out on either side of the top mold in between the pegs. This allows for a viewing window for the user to be able to see how much PDMS is in the mold. It will also act as the “breather holes” to allow air to escape during the curing process.

12 Cell Analysis Update Discussed with Dr. Abhyankar about how to use ImageJ to analysis cells for experiment Changes in cell orientation can be analyzed Changes in cell size (length and width) can be analyze There are plugins that Dr. Abhyankar is developing in his lab to do some similar cell analysis that we may be able to use

13 Risk Assessment Added risk for loss of function due to difficult user interface. This arose from decision to forgo Labview user interface. This risk may be lowered by having a LED screen user interface rather than making the student use Arduino code.

14 Boxed: Items recently ordered.
Bill of Materials Boxed: Items recently ordered. Boxed items were items purchased this phase. New electronic items will be purchased once actuator movement is achieved?

15 Problem-Tracking Discuss Mike’s expectations for this document, and does it need to be on EDGE this phase?

16 Develop working prototype
MSD II Project Plan Next phase: Develop working prototype 3-D print model Assemble prototype device Achieve device movement Strength testing for heat cured PDMS (once vacuum oven is functional) Imagine RIT Submission and final report draft

17 MSD II Project Plan Static cell culture testing and ImageJ analysis
Define user input for device movement Test experiment conditions and ease of use Static cell culture testing and ImageJ analysis Dynamic cell culture testing with working device Does the team feel this is realistic for cell culture testing?
