Endocytosis- process of taking material into the cell by means of infolding the cell membrane to form a vacuole Exocytosis- the membrane of a vacuole fuses with the cell membrane and expels its contents out of the cell

16 Types of Solutions Hypertonic- concentration of solute outside of cell is greater than inside of cell, water flows out, cell shrivels Hypotonic- concentration of solute inside cell is greater than outside of cell, water flows in, cell swells Isotonic- concentration of solution is the same inside and outside of cell, water flows equally in and out, cell remains same size
