2 Notes Negation is the opposite of the statement.
Example: Mr. Kendall is a fan of Rush. The negation would be the opposite, Mr. Kendall is not a fan of Rush.

3 Notes Inverse is the negation of the hypothesis and conclusion.
Example: If George is a football player, then he is strong. Inverse: If George is not a football player, then he is not strong.

4 Notes Contrapositive is the negation of both the hypothesis and conclusion and switching their locations. Example: If Logan works at Taco Bell, then he is a good worker. Contrapositive: If Logan is not a good worker, then he doesn’t work at Taco Bell.
