A: Heterozygous balance (Hb) plotted against average peak height in relative fluorescent units (rfu). Note that most data points fall above the commonly used 60% threshold. B: Plot showing Hb up to 1000rfu in average peak height. The 99th percentile has been calculated and the data has been divided into smaller segments to give more precise threshold values (curve and segments not to scale). Above 450rfu a flat 60% threshold was used. No threshold was set for peaks below 150rfu where the risk for dropout is high.
