1. My Interactive Picture Book

2. In this unit you will be making your own picture book… with a twist!

3. Your picture book will be made using PowerPoint and it will feature sounds. For example: If you wrote a scary story you could add in a scary sound.

4. Or, if you wrote a science fiction story about aliens, you could add in space sounds.

5. There are many sound effects you can choose from depending on what your story is about. But before you begin to choose sounds you must draft your story first.

6. Writing your Story
Your story can be about whatever you like; a day at the Hobart Show, an exciting football game, animals, an adventure… the possibilities are endless!
Your story must be at least 10 slides long with images and sound effects.
You can choose images from the internet or draw your own to be scanned.

7. What your story should have
Characters – one or more characters (people, animals, made up creatures).
Conflict – a conflict or problem faced by the main characters that keeps the reader asking “what will happen next?”
A beginning – introduce the characters and setting.
A middle – where the story reaches its climax.
An end – where the conflict is resolved and the loose ends tied up.
