Warm-up: I wish my teacher knew ___________. Example: I wish my students knew how much I worry about them personally. I really want them to be successful and happy.

Cells are the basic unit of life. Tissues are a group of cells that perform a similar function or do a particular job.

Organ systems are groups of organs that function together within the body.

15 Contraction When the muscle contracts, the muscle shortens, pulling the insertion point (located on another bone) towards the origin. Works in pairs with another muscle.

16 Muscles continued When the muscle relaxes, another muscle contracts to return it to the original point. These pairs are called agonist and antagonist.
