9 Looking forward to identify the skills that the workforce will need in the coming 5-10 years and helping people develop those skills This includes Networks and Talent Programmes for those with the potential and appetite to be finance leaders We’ll be supporting newly appointed Finance Directors in the early months of their new roles It will also mean actively supporting everyone to meet the needs of the modern finance function with our Behavioural Skills Framework. We’ll be promoting NHS careers and all the different routes that people can take to progress in our Career Stories. programmes and tools to support system-wide talent development

10 Developing finance knowledge across professional and clinical teams demonstrating how finance plays a key role in delivering good patient care through our FACE network We’ll be working with SDN to make sure all have equitable access to quality staff development tools and opportunities We’ll continue to promote the 4 Strengths and are looking to progress with Skills & Strengths On-line equitable access to opportunities for all to develop their knowledge of NHS finance

11 With our Efficient Transacting programme we’ll be embracing opportunities to think beyond organisational boundaries, seeking system-wide changes that result shared benefit and improved value for patients and tax payers We’ll continue to promote the Decision Framework including developing our ‘bitesize’ range to support key process whilst focusing on value. We’ll continue to promote our Hire to Retire and Procure to Pay process maps and we’ll signpost to other good practice and tools promoting ways of working that improve outcomes or reduce resources without compromising either
