1 Implementing the Gold Guide
Autumn 2007 A very brief introduction to presenters and others involved at EMHWD level. This has got NOTHING to do with MTAS!!!!!

2 Key points If you hear nothing else today……………….. Documents People
Timetable Problems Questions Discussion Seriously, if you have to go early or want to doze through the session, at least ensure you listen and understand the 6 key points.

3 Documents The Gold Guide Quick Start guide User Manual Portfolios
Websites These are a combination of National resources and some developed locally. They apply to ALL Specialties and for trainees aiming to progress in ALL Specialties. The websites in particular are likely to be developed as time goes on. The portfolios likewise. The Quick Start and the User Manual for Supervisors are locally developed documents. Regard them as similar to those one gets in a box of the latest electronic gizmo. They both do what they say on the tin.

4 People Trainees Educational Supervisors Clinical Supervisors
TPDs (CO/PD in GP) Trusts/Employers East Midlands HWD As with the Foundation Program, the trainee is central to the administration and drive of the Program. Each of these “people” has roles and responsibilities which are defined within the Gold Guide and referred to in the Quick Start. An additional task for all Clinical Supervisors is to complete a CS Report, the GP version of which is in the User manual.
