What is a kicp? KOBE INTERNATIONAL CARAVAN PROGRAM
English communication activities or cultural exchange in place of regular classes. ALTs from various schools visit a host school to organize the activities and interact with students in English. JHS and HS level. A chance to get out of your regular routine and have fun with students from other schools. A chance for students to meet ALTs from many countries.

What is a DS? DELIVERY SERVICE
English communication activities or cultural exchange in place of regular classes. ALTs from various schools visit a host school to organize the activities and interact with students in English. For ES and Kindergartens. Usually shorter and fewer ALT participants.

HOW DO I HOST A KICP/DS? THREE-STEP PAPERWORK PROCESS FORM 1
Request to host the KICP/DS. Completed by host school and submitted to SED. FORM 2 Approval form with list of volunteers. Completed by SED and sent to host school. FORM 3 Shuccho requests. Completed by host school and sent to the schools of ALT volunteers.

5 Host school plans the event and calls SED Host school submits FORM 1
Host school ALT recruits volunteers Host school ALT submits volunteer list to CIRs SED sends FORM 2 to host school Host school sends FORM 3 to all volunteers Event happens, hooray! Host school submits report that the event happened, and how many ALTs participated 5 is the magic number. Try to participate in about five KICPs or DSs per school year.
