3 [Solo Platform] Introduction
A Zone is a defined geographical boundary or area such as a region or work site. These zones can be setup and monitored in Solo Platform for many reasons ranging from site induction requirements to timesheeting and SLA’s. Defining a Zone in Solo Platform can only be actioned by: Solo Operations Managers. Or Admins.

4 [Solo Platform] Setup - Zones
From Solo Platform’s landing page you must access the Zones register in the setup area. This is located in the ‘menu’. Expand the ‘setup area’ and select the ‘Zones’ option. Result: The Zones register will display 'Zones Register'

5 [Solo Platform] Setup - Zones Register
The ‘Zones Register’ shows all current Zones and key information: The ‘Name’. The ‘Code’ (if used). The ‘Description’ (if used). Who created it. It also allows you to edit any existing Zones. To begin: click Add New Zone.

6 [Solo Platform] Add Zone - Zone Details
Complete the zone details: ‘Name’ this new zone appropriately, according to your company requirements. If required, the ‘Code’ field can be used to stipulate any internal designation or label to identify this new zone. Again if required a ‘Description’ can also be entered for the zone.

To define the zone, start by searching for its location.

Once the address is located. Use the cross-hairs to place markers defining the required boundary. To place a marker simply click the spot on the map required, continue doing this and once the two line ends meet click that location to complete the boundary. If you need to restart drawing the zone boundary for any reason. Simply complete the current attempt and then click the ‘draw shape’ icon and start again.

9 [Solo Platform] Add Zone - Define Zone Cont.
Once the boundary has been defined it can then be modified by clicking and dragging any required ‘marker’ until the zone has been finalised.

10 [Solo Platform] Add Zone - Zone Notification
Automated notifications to be sent to any Solo mobile app user who enters or exits the zone can also be setup. Click the ‘Create Automated Notifications for this Zone’ check-box. Then select when a notification should be sent to a solo app user. In the ‘Notification’ field, enter the required message. Zone notifications repeat at a rate specified by you, to ensure notifications do not get missed by the user. Stipulate the ‘Time between notifications’.

11 [Solo Platform] Add Zone - Zone Notification
Once all the required elements of the zone have been completed click ‘Save’ to finish. The zones register will re-display with the newly created zone. Simply repeat this process for any and all zones required. 'Zones Register'
