1 Romans 10:14-15 How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them?  And how can anyone preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!”

2 How beautiful are the Feet of those who bring good news!
Poking holes in the darkness.

3 Robert Lewis Stevenson
Author of Treasure Island

4 A Lamplighter poking holes in the darkness.

5 Isaiah 52:7-8 How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of those who bring good news, who proclaim peace, who bring good tidings, who proclaim salvation, who say to Zion, “Your God reigns!” Listen! Your watchmen lift up their voices; together they shout for joy. When the Lord returns to Zion, they will see it with their own eyes.

6 Israel at War News came by runners..., 2 Samuel 18… How beautiful are the feet… Each of us is like Ahimaaz, we are a herald of either good or bad news… As Christians we each have the responsibility to poke holes in the darkness .

7 When Does Good News Become
Beautiful? Good news becomes beautiful when it is shared. John Newton wrote the words to Amazing Grace in 1779

8 John Newton author of Amazing Grace
What if he had never shared his Good News?

9 King David never forgot the Good News that Ahimaaz brought him.
Who will remember that you were the one that brought them Good News?

10 We are all called to poke holes in the darkness
The Lord has a mysterious way of using our light -- our songs, our words, our joy -- to penetrate the dark corners of other people's worlds.

11 The Conversation is the Relationship
… and sharing the Good News of how Jesus Christ changed our lives is the topic of that conversation … Is there a conversation you need to have with the Lord?
