3 TALENT’s objectives Thematic collaboration platform between education professionals, for sharing common questions, concerns and ambitions To join forces to provide a consistent and comprehensive response to the learning crisis To support the improvement of teaching and learning and the implementation of the Framework for Action for SDG4-Education 2030 in West and Central Africa To join a working and learning community which is dynamic, neutral and open to new ideas, actors and knowledge

5 Our motto Effective teaching and classroom interactions are the most critical areas for student learning. It is in the ‘classroom’ that program impact is felt, where pedagogical methods demonstrate their effectiveness or failure, and where learners are motivated to participate and learn how to learn. The most promising strategies should target the level of the classroom.

9 TALENT’s achievements to date
Dynamic partnership: UNESCO, Unicef, CONFEMEN, ANCEFA, REESAO Sharing of experiences, reflections and advocacy: measurement of early learning (Regional technical workshop from July in Dakar: 70 participants from 6 countries and 13 international and regional organizations, including those from civil society and research, of which 3 were American and Canadian universities) Online platform for sharing knowledge (Resources portal containing more than 100 technical resources) Knowledge production: Review of learning assessments carried out over the past 10 years in West and Central Africa Capacity building: Regional technical workshop on professional standards for basic education teachers in West and Central Africa – Inaugural workshop
