9 Look for an MSA update on AIRWEB in May. Many of the 80 sites are redundant within an MSA’s with complete data showing >15.0 annual average.

10 Continuous PM2.5 Monitoring Sites
As of AIRS, 10/02/01 Black = Data reported in AIRS (132) Red = Site registered in AIRS but no data (20) 215 were funded in FY2000 (-83) Fortunately, Continuous particulate monitors have begun to be recognized as important tools in Air Quality Monitoring. EPA has responded by funding 215, PM 2.5 real-time sites across the Country in 2000 and given the new National Monitoring Strategy, I am hopeful that the trend will continue and even grow. Note however, that 83 of the funded sites are not reporting any data to AIRS. We do not have answers as to why that is and hope that it can be resolved quickly. If there are issues that SAMWG assist with please lets us know and we will endeavor to help.
