2 God’s Voice through OTHERS

3 Two common comments about this hearing/communicating dynamic:
“I’m not sure I’ve ever heard God” “I’m not sure God’s given me anything to communicate”.

4 The Christian life is not a life of gawking at a spectacle; it is a life of participatory theatre, if you will.

7 “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here! All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting people’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation. We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us.” (2 Corinthians 5:17-20)

8 THE ROLE OF AN AMBASSADOR
WHEN A DONKEY TALKS God is not limited in who He might use to communicate His words and will to us. Yes, He might even use a donkey – a completely unexpected means – to speak to us. THE ROLE OF AN AMBASSADOR An ambassador is sent to receive messages from one source, translate them for another audience, and then communicate these messages to that audience.

9 God does not often call the equipped, but He always equips the called.

10 Ask yourself: when it comes to my following of Jesus, am I here to spectate or am I here to participate in significant ways? Ask yourself: what does my life communicate to those around me?

11 An Exercise in Listening and Communicating
What has God been teaching you over the course of this series?

12 Might we refuse to spectate as we follow Jesus, always looking for ways to participate in the unfolding drama of His coming kingdom.
