1 (A) Axial ... (A) Axial images showed symmetric, strong high intensity in the connective tissues surrounded by femoral muscles and mild high intensity in the limb girdle muscles. (B) Coronal images revealed perivascular distribution of the high-intensity areas (white arrowhead). (C) FDG PET/CT scan showed elevated FDG uptake in the aorta, its branches and reactive mediastinal lymph nodes. There were no findings suggestive of polymyalgia rheumatica.
