The MRA in March 2009 applied for funding from BCC and £7000 was allocated from the Ward community chest. This was insufficient to commission the study which Grainger were not prepared to support financially. 4 2010 Further discussions were initiated with Grainger. However at the residents AGM late in 2010 an announcement was made that Grainger had decided to auction the community facilities and requested the MRA to put forward a bid which would be subject to a staircasing payment agreement. 5 Where we are. We were very fortunate to receive a further £7000 of match funding from the HCA (Homes & Communities Agency) in Dec 2010. This enabled the study to be started. 6 What will the report do? The report will identify the issues and costs likely to be incurred by a Trust taking on the assets.
