3 General Packaging Policy
Financial Aid is awarded as funds are available Gift aid is awarded before self-help Federal and state funds are awarded before institutional aid Merit awards are processed against need first

4 Is Student Ready for Packaging?
A Student Must: Have filed a valid FAFSA. And show a “Completed” checklist Incomplete/rejected FAFSAs will need resolution before they can be packaged Must be in a valid degree or certificate program. FA Term Information will show student’s program and career If this section is blank, student may be not be accepted into a program or is in a non-degree program and therefore ineligible for financial aid

5 Is Student Ready for Packaging?
If selected for verification, all paperwork and flags must be complete or waived. This includes all C-Flags (Citizenship, Selective Service NSLDS, Drug Conviction) Prior BA Degree conflict

6 Is Student Ready for Packaging?
Close to Aggregate issues must be resolved and checklists updated Correct DL and Pell amounts (according to NSLDS) are entered in the Packaging Variables for reference Note: Students with Aggregate issues are manually packaged and should be forwarded to packaging specialist

7 Is Student Ready for Packaging?
In addition, Returning Students must: Meet SAP A status of “Meets SAP” or “Probation” are eligible for aid “Not Meets” = Not eligible for Aid Register for upcoming semester The “Enrollment Detail” link will show if the student has registered, by looking at the actual credits If no actual enrollment, a Returning student will not be picked up for mass packaging

8 Is Student Ready for Packaging?
Once all requirements are met: Student’s Package Status will change to “PACKAGE” by the mass packaging selection model This means student will be automatically selected for packaging by Mass Packaging that week (unless student requires a manual package) Students will be able to view awards on iSiS Self Service New students will get an award Letter mailed, Returning students will get an notification

9 Manual Packaging Process
There are situations when a student will NOT go through the automatic mass packaging process, but instead have a manual package awarded. These situations include: Students who are only enrolled in one term (Fall only or Spring only) Students with Aggregate issues (DL and Pell) These cases should be forwarded to the Packaging Specialist for manual awarding *Note: All other packaging requirements must also be met and completed prior to manual packaging

10 Production Timeline This chart will provide a better understanding of when processes occur for a student to be selected for packaging: Night Process Runs Process Description Monday Isirs Load to PeopleSoft (FAFSA on File with FAO) FA Term Builds (student program/career information available) Tuesday Budgets are assigned to students who have a complete FAFSA and are in a degree or eligible certificate program Checklists are assigned for any missing Verification documents, CFlags, Aggregate, etc. Package Status flags are updated “Package” - Ready to be picked up for mass packaging Wednesday Pre-packaging clean-up reports and Aggregate Reviews Manual Packaging Process Thursday/ Friday Student will be awarded a financial aid package via Mass Packaging FANs will be sent via mail or Awards can be viewed on iSiS Self Service
