2. Jesus’ Teaching About Prayer
Luke 11:1
 1And it came to pass, that, as he was praying in a certain place, when he ceased, one of his disciples said unto him, Lord, teach us to pray, as John also taught his disciples.
After Jesus prayed, one of His disciples asked Him to teach them how to pray.

3. Jesus’ Model Prayer Luke 11:2-4 1st Request: God’s name is hallowed
2nd Request: God’s kingdom comes
3rd Request: Bread is given daily
4th Request: Our sins are forgiven
5th Request: We are not led into temptation

Jesus encourages the Christians to be persistent in prayer - to be steadfast in praying and to receive their needs.

Luke 11:9-13
Ask, and it shall be given you.
Seek, and ye shall find.
Knock, and it shall be opened unto you.
Bread – a stone
Fish – a serpent
Egg – a scorpion

6. Robert Arthington, Jr.
A millionaire businessman in Leeds, England and a missionary philanthropist
Robert was born on May 20, 1823 in Leeds, England. His father was a wealthy brewery owner.
In 1848, Robert, his mother, and two of his three sisters were baptized by immersion, and he found his spiritual home at South Parade Baptist Church in Leeds.

7. Robert Arthington, Jr.
Robert received about 1 million dollars after their parents died.
Robert invested money and gave money for missionary works.
5 million dollars were given for missionary works after Robert died on October 9, 1900.
