Chastisement: Verbal punishment. Interdependence: A relation between entities that rely on each other. Meticulous: Marked by extreme care in treatment of details. Comprehension: An ability to understand the meaning of something.

Deft: Skillful in physical movements; especially of the hands. Writhe: To move in a twisting or contorted motion. Ominous: Threatening or foreshadowing evil or tragic developments. Rueful: Feeling or expressing pain or sorrow for sins or offenses. Augmented: Added to or made greater in amount or number or strength.

Eugenics: The study of improving qualities by selective breeding. Lassitude: A feeling of lack of interest or energy. Pyre: Wood heaped for burning a dead body as a funeral rite. Solidarity: A union of interests or purposes among members of a group. Depraved: Deviating from what is considered moral or right or proper.
