4 Week activities at a glance
Monday: I-ready designated day. Students will work on their individualized I- Ready lesson plan. Homework: Rewrite of paragraph from Friday 2/1/19 in class = what is one thing you would change in school? 3 reasons. 5 sentence paragraph with topic/intro sentence, 3 detail sentences, and conclusion sentence. Grammar/conventions: capitalization and ending punctuation. Tuesday through Friday: Students will be given another topic to choose for an argumentative essay due Friday, work on for first of class daily Mini-lessons throughout week: Skills practice, mins daily. Monday: I-ready, individual student conferences about summative from last week. Students will be given opportunities for extra work to bring up grade. Tuesday: begin new unit, vocabulary review, unpack the standard, Independent Practice, 10-21 Homework: Lesson 10.1 a/b Modeling and writing expressions Essential Question: How can you write algebraic expressions and use models to decide if expressions are equivalent? Homework –10.1 , Independent practice 22-30 Thursday: Continued practice with Lesson 10.1, 30 – 46 work together in class Howework: study for quiz on Friday Friday: Quiz, vocabulary: algebraic expression, variable, constant; writing algebraic expressions
