1. Regulation From the EU Parliament and Council Establishing a new EMSWe French situation
French ports and French Governement are aligned : PCS’s have to remain in the Scope of the régulation and recognized as standard entry points
Therefore, The French governement is supporting the IRISH deputy amendement at the parliament
French Governement will claim for the same modifications at the council’s Presidency compromise proposal
PCS’s recognition
EMSW GUI at a European level instead of national level

2. STM Port of call Project definition
A European-wide consortium, encompassing large European ports, shipping companies, leading manufacturers of navigational equipment, public authorities and academic organizations, are addressing the current 2018 CEF Transport call by the European Commission. The initiative is called STM Ports of Call project.
The project brings forward the market-oriented solutions earlier developed and tested in the STM Validation project and other relevant initiatives (Port CDM). Project partners will develop optimised technical solutions for their specific environment. In this development, the project will ensure interoperable information sharing between ships and ports as well as between ports, based on common and agreed standards.

3. STM Port of call Project activities
Digitalized Ports, digitalizing port operations by automating tasks, improve efficiency of operations and expand the scope of the port calls beyond the port limits by collaborating with ships, other ports and the logistics chain.
Digitalized Ships aims at digitalizing ship operations introducing novel applications for ship-to-shore digital interconnection to enhance ship operations, i.e. fleet management, as well as ship-to-ship and ship-to-port.
Maritime Digital Infrastructure, providing standards, support and governance for partners implementing standardized information exchange.
Impact Evaluation which performs the analysis, evaluation and validation of the STM Ports of Call developments.

4. STM Port of call news
Proposal had to be submitted before end of october 24th.
Oct 19th: Withdrawal of the Swedish Government and therefore of SMA (former leader of the project)
Oct 24th: Support of the Greek Ministries and project leadership given to HYDRUS Group with National Technical University of Athens active support
The proposal have been submitted on time !
