2 Pre-Tournament Guidelines
J F R A C 2019 Football Tournament 29th & 30th June R D O N F A I Supported by R Pre-Tournament Guidelines Team entries only accepted with official tournament entry form. All teams must have a registered FA affiliation number and must provide this on their entry form. Applications will not be accepted without an FA affiliation number. Entries will not be confirmed until payment received. Payments must be clearly referenced with age group and team to ensure they can be identified. 2018 / 19 age groups apply for all tournaments. Players may only play for one team in each tournament. Players must be registered for their team with their ‘home’ league. Managers must bring league registration documents with them to the tournament. All age groups will play 7 a side. There will be a maximum of 10 competition medals per team. No entries accepted from Academy / Centre of Excellence teams. However, a maximum of two Academy / Centre of Excellence players will be allowed per team. These players must clear tournament participation with their registered professional club. On the day – please help ensure the smooth running of the tournament Parking available for £2 / vehicle at the Jubilee Recreation Ground, Church Road, Rainford, WA11 8HD. Please follow signposts and instructions from club officials. All teams to register their arrival at the Control Tent in the centre of the field. No pets allowed on tournament site. No BBQs allowed on tournament site League registration documents with approved players must be brought on the day for inspection if required and to enable the maximum two Academy players to be identified. Any team found to have misled Tournament officials will be excluded from matches with immediate effect and all previous results will be awarded to the opponents. All results will be recorded in the Control Tent in the centre of the field. All teams should bring either a change strip or training vests in case of colour clash. Football boots should be worn by all players. Please ensure studs do not have sharp edges. All players MUST wear shinguards. Foul and abusive language will not be tolerated under any circumstances. Anyone heard using bad language to players or officials will be asked to leave. Refusal to do so will result in the referee stopping the game until that person does leave the tournament.

G J F C 2019 Football Tournament 29th & 30th June R D O N F Supported by A I R Supported by Tournament Rules Please encourage ALL spectators and participants to RESPECT the referees and their decisions. All team managers must ensure their players arrive at the assigned pitch on time as start time of all matches will be notified by central klaxon. Choice of kick off or direction of play will be decided by the toss of a coin. Coin toss will only be undertaken if both teams are ready on the field one minute before kick-off. If a team arrives late, then the options will be offered to the waiting team. Matches will kick off on time even if one team has not arrived. After 3 minutes the match will be awarded to the team present if opposition has still not taken the field of play. Group matches / semi-finals will last 10 minutes one way. Finals will be two halves of 7 minutes each way, with a 2 minute half time changeover. End of games will be indicated by klaxon, however, the referee may use his / her discretion and allow extra time up to a maximum of two minutes. Matches only end on the referees whistle. The ball must be played backwards from kick off. There is no offside. Goalkeepers are NOT allowed outside their area. Freekick awarded on infringement. All players are allowed in the goal area during play. Goalkeepers CANNOT pick up the ball from a Pass Back or Throw In. A penalty kick will be awarded in case of infringement. All goal kicks must be taken as a dead ball from the ground (all age groups) Goalkeepers at U6 to U10 may kick the ball out of their hands during play. Goalkeepers at U11 and above must return the ball into play by throwing only (except goal kicks) All free kicks are direct. Defending players must retreat at least 2 metres from the ball. A foul committed in the goal area will result in a penalty kick being awarded. Halfway line retreat rule to be applied for all matches up to and including U10. Substitutes to roll on and off with the referee’s approval. The Organising Committee will not accept any complaints relating to refereeing decisions and will promote and support the respect of officials by players, coaches and spectators at all times. The Organisers reserve the right to expel any Team from the competition in the event of serious misconduct by management, players or spectators connected with that team.

G J F C 2019 Football Tournament 29th & 30th June R D O N F A I Supported by R Tournament Rules Points allocation and progression from Groups 3 points for a win, 2 points for a score draw, 1 for a no-score draw, 0 for a loss. Top 2 teams from each Group will progress to the Champions League semi finals. Bottom 2 teams will progress to the Europa League semi finals. In the event of a tie in the group stages, goal difference, then goals scored, then the result of matches between tied teams will be applied. If teams are still tied, there will be 3 penalty kicks, followed by sudden death penalties until a result. In the event of teams being tied after a knockout stage match, there will be a penalty shoot-out. Goalkeepers in penalty shoot-outs must remain the same as at the end of the match. No player can take two penalty kicks until all players that finished the game (including Goalkeepers) have taken a penalty. Only players who finish the game may take part in penalty shoot out. Misconduct All clubs should be aware of the FA Child Protection Policies and adhere to their recommendations. Any Player receiving two cautions, or dismissed from the field of play, will automatically miss the next match. Any team found to be playing an over-age player or players will be immediately withdrawn from the competition, and all results awarded to their opponents 0 – 2. Any player / supporter / manager reported by the Referee for misconduct, or use of foul and abusive language, before during or after a match, will be reported to their County FA and will only be permitted to take any further part in future competitions at the Organising Committees discretion. All questions of eligibility of players or interpretation of the rules including any matters arising not provided for within the rules shall be referred to the Football Tournament Organising Committee.
