Russia moves troops to Austrian and German Border Germany declared war on Russia and France Britain declared war on Germany Central Powers Germany, A/H, Bulgaria, Ottoman Empire Allied Powers Britain, France, and Russia Later Japan, Italy, and US Misconceptions of soldiers Remind yourself from last class the causes of World War I. What was the final/immediate cause of WWI and why did events move so quickly to push into WWI? Look at the map. Color, shade, or outline yours so that you know the different groups (Central, Allied, or neutral). Why do you think the Central Powers are so named? What were the misconceptions of soldiers when WWI started?

What are some issues the Germans may have had in executing this plan? What were issues the Germans committed in successfully executing Schlieffen Plan? What is meant by stalemate? Why was this such an issue during WWI?
