8. Aeronautical Information Exchange Model (AIXM)
· The Federal Aviation Administration is working with ICAO and its partners in NGA and Eurocontrol to adopt and refine a conceptual and exchange model for aeronautical data: AICM and AIXM.
· The role of AIXM is to enable systems to exchange aeronautical information in the form of XML encoded data.
