5. EL Performance Measure
To be eligible for the EL Performance Measure, a student must
Be classified as current limited English proficient
Not have a parent denial for EL services
Have a valid reported STAAR score
Have taken an English-language version of STAAR
The EL Performance Measure does NOT apply to
Algebra II or English III
STAAR Alternate 2
STAAR Spanish

6. EL Performance Measure
Will be used to determine performance levels for eligible ELs in Year 2 in U.S. schools
Domain I (STAAR Performance)
Domain II-A
EL Performance Measure will NOT take the place of the STAAR Progress Measure – which will continue to be used where applicable in calculating Academic Growth
Domain II-B (Relative Performance)
Domain III (Closing the Gaps)
