25 PLEASE DO: Have an attractive slide backgrounds/graphics to catch the eye Save any equations or formulas as an image and embed into your eposter presentation. Use lots of images, graphs or videos to enhance visual learning Keep wording concise and as short as possible to maintain the point Keep your presentation between 3-5 slides (not including hyperlinked slides) Utilize the features provided on PowerPoint for Tablets like the lazer pointer or highlighter function

26 PLEASE DON’T: Forget to check all navigational buttons on your presentation Have long paragraphs or a text heavy presentation Use your oral talk presentation in place of a poster presentation Use videos longer than 5 minutes

28 HYPERLINKING Hyperlinking is a method of navigation within a presentation. You may hyperlink text or images to jump to other slides in your presentation. Common use cases are: Having a main page with an overview, and have links to subsequent pages with more detail. Make it possible to click on a small graph, chart, or image and navigate to another slide with a full-screen version of that image.

What to bring: A flash drive with all of your files. If you embedded any videos or formulas in an excel file, please include those as separate files, along with your ePoster. We also recommend bringing backup files in your laptop, your cloud storage or have it saved in your as attachments. Arrive At the specified time given to you by your event Organizer (if not given one Please come to EPB’s Tech Desk at lease 1 hour prior to your Presentation) Check in to EPB Tech Desk Submit your poster via USB (please bring in Windows power point, as a back up in a PDF file) Check Your ePosterBoard at you specified station. (make sure all of your slides and functions are working correctly)

34 FAQs What’s included with an ePosterBoard?
Each ePosterBoard consists of a 47 inch flat-panel monitor, mobile stand, shelf, Tablet, and cable connectors (iPad/IPhone, Mac and PC lap top). What kind of devices can ePosterboards Provide? ePosterboards can provide Surface Tablets. We also, with advance notice, can bring adapter cables that could allow presenters to bring their own devices. Some presenters find it helpful to use a device they are more comfortable with, or have helpful notes to make the presentation that much better. Which presentation software’s are installed on the devices? ePosterboards provides PowerPoint and Adobe Reader on all devices. With internet connection, we can connect to cloud-based services like Prezi, and Google Slides.

35 FAQs Average number of pages in an ePoster?
On average, presenters will normally have 3-5 pages on content on their ePosters. Additional pages can be used for hyperlinked (enlarged) images, rotating graphics or for videos. How large can the ePoster files be? We suggest limiting your ePoster file size to 150 mbs or less. Please contact us directly if you need to have a larger size e-poster. How should I save my presentation? The ePoster files should be saved as “LastName.FirstName.PPTX”

The actual useable screen size is x Slide or page sized should be set to these dimensions for best results. What are the stand dimensions? Height – 831⁄2” (~7ft) Width – 431⁄2” (~3.5ft) Depth – 38 1/3” (~3.5ft) How much energy do the ePosterBoards use? All of the ePosterBoards are low energy systems that only use 110 Watts of power. Each ePosterBoard can draw up to 1.5 Amps of power.

Yes, we provide technical assistance both before and during the conference. There will always be at least 2 ePosterBoard technicians on-site to assist the presenters with questions. Is there assistance with ePoster creation? Yes, we have expanded our ePosterBoards service to include an ePoster design business.
