Rationale: effectiveness of EU spending CBD reporting obligations The Commission's proposed approach: CBD preliminary reporting framework Use of rio markers - direct/indirect contributions MS reporting under shared management instruments Feedback on the Commission's proposed approach, and information on the planned approaches for tracking at Member States level

7 Prioritised Action Frameworks (PAFs) – tool for integrated financing;
Article 8 of the Habitats Directive – legal basis for EU co-financing; Conditional on PAFs; PAF as a tool for: strategic planning; identification of priorities; identification of financing sources.

8 PAF: state of play and follow-up
PAFs received from 11 MS (BE Wallonia, CY, CZ, DE, DK, EE, ES, IE, NL, RO, UK); other expected. Assessment and quality check by Nature Unit: Submission via PermRep; Completeness; Up-to-date; Part F and G – the most important; Level of detail sufficient for the OPs.
