2 Figure 1 Ribbon diagram of the NMR structure [13] of the helicase Dna B (top panel) and the ‘best’ predicted structure (bottom panel) – the one of lowest root-mean-squared deviation from the experimental structure – one of five generated by the method of Simons et al. [12]. From the amino to the carboxyl terminus, helices are colored red, orange, yellow-green, green, blue and violet.
