By exploring the ways in which we use and need rules, I can consider the meaning of rights and responsibilities and discuss those relevant to me SOC 1-17 The Rainforest By exploring climate zones around the world, I can compare and describe how climate affects living things SOC 1-12 By exploring a natural environment different from my own, I can discover how the physical features influence the variety of living things SOC 1-13b

Music - led fortnightly by music specialist then teacher follows with next lesson.

13 Homework Throughout this term children will be given the following types of homework to support learning in class: Literacy homework – Spelling Task Grid Reading will be written in diary Maths homework using Education City – linked to class tasks Please ensure that the homework diary is checked each night.

15 Homework Homework may be marked in a variety of ways:
Class discussion and pupil marking their own jotter – Self-assessment strategies Class discussion and peer marking jotter work (peer-assessment strategies) Teacher marking with assessment comment

16 Communication Folder Sent home nightly Letters from school
Jotter for parent and teacher use. Available at the end of day

17 Gym Indoor gym will be on Monday with Mr Fry
Outdoor gym is on a Friday. Children must wear appropriate gym clothes. 17

18 Supporting your child at home
Here are some of the ways you can support your child at home: Encourage reading for enjoyment in the house. Multiplication tables Make it fun and engaging!

19 Assessment Formative assessment strategies used daily throughout lessons – white boards/ thumbs Tracking progress for all curricular areas Evaluating daily on the learning for that day

20 Class Management Class helpers, different roles within the classroom.
House points – expected behaviours within the class, school and corridors Class Dojo points - Promoting positive behaviour within the class. Individual points Table points Class trying to achieve 200 together.
