2 Federal Energy Management Program
Potential FEDERAL GOVERNMENT PROGESS Savings Return on Federal Energy Efficiency Investment of $21.8 Billions (From FY ) $21.8 B of investments Will result in savings return of $48.9 billion by 2030, payback before 2020 equivalent to 174,000 job- years Approximately $9 - $15 billion of cost-effective investment potential STILL available The graphic demonstrates gross investments and estimated energy cost savings from that investment.  The analysis does not factor in payments to ESCOs.   For perspective, about 2/3rds of the cumulative investment is from direct obligations, so that portion wouldn’t be impacted by adjustments for ESCO payments.
