1 TGac Channel Model Revisions for r7
Month Year doc.: IEEE /1038r0 September 2009 TGac Channel Model Revisions for r7 Date: Authors: Greg Breit, Qualcomm Incorporated Greg Breit, Qualcomm Incorporated

2 Month Year doc.: IEEE /1038r0 September 2009 Abstract This contribution proposes updates to IEEE /0308r6 reflecting recent investigations and other editorial activity. Based on discussion of these proposed changes within TGac, 09/0308r7 will be submitted and a motion generated to adopt r7 as the current TGac channel model. Greg Breit, Qualcomm Incorporated Greg Breit, Qualcomm Incorporated

3 Editorial Changes Appendix B added
September 2009 Editorial Changes Appendix B added Incorporates content of IEEE.11-09/0638r0, “Revisions to ‘IEEE_802_11_Cases.m’ for TGac Channel Model” Motivation is to incorporate all implementation-related content into the channel doc, rather than referring readers to separate Tgac contributions Greg Breit, Qualcomm Incorporated

4 Update to Doppler Model Text
September 2009 Update to Doppler Model Text Section 5 text replaced with: This text was proposed in IEEE /0947r0 and discussed during the August 27 TGac conference call “…for stationary users.” appended to first sentence in response to conference call discussion Recent indoor channel measurements [4, 9, 10, 11] indicate that the magnitude of Doppler assumed in the TGn channel model is too high for stationary users. TGac shall use the Doppler model specified in Section of the TGn channel model document, but at a magnitude consistent with a channel coherence time of 400ms or an RMS Doppler spread of 0.83Hz at a carrier frequency of 5GHz. This level of ambient Doppler corresponds to an equivalent environmental speed vo=0.18 km/h. Greg Breit, Qualcomm Incorporated
