2. What is the CIP?
The certification is dedicated to enhancing and promoting the profession of information management by providing the premier credential in the industry.
The CIP has come to represent a badge of competency and knowledge at the top of the knowledge worker pyramid for those entrusted with the task of building an information STRATEGY in a time of digital disruption. It is broader than Records Management and Information Governance.
Why the CIP?
Over the past decade, there has been a “perfect storm” of change. It has changed how we think about enterprise information and how we think about the skills needed to adapt to these changes. The value-add for IT in organizations is rapidly shifting from the technology per se to the stewardship, optimization, and application of the information assets themselves.
