[Primary message/slogan] “Build together the future of work we want ” [Support message] The future of work is not a fatality. No one should be left behind.We must create decent jobs for all workers. Unions make that possible. [Core message #1] Unions are key actors to combat precarity and lack of social protection. Unionization is vital to protect the rights of workers in the non standards forms of employment. [Core message #2] Unions play an important role to reduce informal economy. Unions remain strong partners to combat inequality and poverty in the country.   [Core message #3] Globalization and automation can offer new opportunities for workers. Unions can provide solutions to protect decent jobs for all. [Foundation – supporting information – important facts] A recent study by McKinsey Global Institute that looked at both sides of the debate estimated that by 2030, in about 60 per cent of occupations, at least one-third of constituent activities could be automated Many studies show that members of the union tend to have higher wages than non-unionized workers. ILO studies show that unions and collective bargaining institutions are key to reduce inequality In 2018, 53% of the world population have an internet connexion. In the Americas, 40.0 per cent of total employment or 183 million persons are in informal employment (ILO Report) [And so on]
