2 Servant Leadership

3 Servant Leadership "Arguably more than any other major, high-profile organization around, when one thinks of an "employee engagement culture", one invariably thinks of Southwest Airlines.” Melcrum Study, 2005 At TDIndustries we support a culture of inclusion, a culture of ownership.  We accomplish this through a Servant Leadership philosophy that puts others first.

5 Employee Engagement Focus on the two yellow numbers.
There is a lot of variability with the questions that go into the engagement scores. See our four questions below. Operations score did increase by 26% (650 employees)

6 Heidi Test Loop Operator
Had an idea, I will try Chris as he does listen Why don’t we try this, as a potential solution because I do not want to get in trouble when I am up on the unit. Idea of an anchor point on the unit (Compressor Bracket). We have challenges with a 60’ ceiling and OH/Jib cranes with an anchor from the metal roof joists Listened, tried, tried 4-5 times and came up with a real good solution Gained trust and built a very good working relationship with Chris and rest of safety dept.

7 Water Cooled Chiller This is what we manufacturer
Good? Is he going to hit the ground? Type of lanyard 8 ft fall What was done prior to our department providing extended fall protection training/engineering projects

8 Before & After First compressor lifting bracket
Today’s lifting bracket plus a certified 5000lb anchor point Today’s Fall arrest lanyard/connector

9 Before & After Still have Fall Risks in Bay D
Guardrail Gate in process but stemmed from Heidi’s idea HLL – In process as well and have it for one of our product lines

10 Jerry Welder Just a welder – That is what he first said but with safety dept. development, he is excelling. Volunteered for EHS MDI daily board, CSC, BBS coach. Very active because of the trust and respectful way of getting things done with safety dept

11 John Unit Assembler/ Union Leader
Union safety rep CSC, EHS MDI safety board, RIE co-leader John is the eyes and ears of the union hourly employees Out of five main divisions: Safety, Quality, Delivery (Ops), Inventory (Materials), Productivity (Ops/HR). Safety has had the biggest impact on engagement scores
