What are we going to do with all this new knowledge and information.

4. We don’t need creeks that shed water, we need creeks that catch water and hold water.
We need creeks that trap sediment and stabilize it in their banks, rather than filling downstream reservoirs.

5. Our fish and wildlife, and our recreationist need creeks that flow year round.

6. Adequate vegetation, landform or large woody material to:

A critical mass of passionate people who interact with riparian resources based on common understanding and shared knowledge of attributes and processes that constitute sustainability.

How do we expand this network of knowledge in our schools, among our landowners, in our government policies, in our urban, exurban and rural neighborhoods, in our recreational communities, and in our technical professions? You came with ideas, you may have heard things that triggered new ideas.
Now is the time to put our heads together and document these ideas. We hope that you will each take a challenge back to your workplace and your home place
but we will also be creating a proceedings document that will capture your ideas in order to share them with decision-makers around the State.
