9. TV White Spaces Moving Forward At CES, FCC Chairman Genachowski said Conservatively, the forecast is for a 35X increase in wireless broadband traffic over the next 5 years. TVWS will be included the next generation of WiFi. Carriers will use TVWS to offload data traffic from their networks. Proliferation of TVWS devices will grow significantly. Radio suppliers are currently receiving orders in the thousands for white space radios.
