Purpose: To better understand the content, it is essential that students learn to think critically and ask higher level questions. Being familiar with Costa’s will help students make connections, as well as, understand the level of rigor that tasks are asking for.

12 LOOKING AT questions/OBJECTIVES/TASKS
Identify whether the following are level 1, 2, or 3 questions/objectives/tasks: Pick two characteristics that best describe a “good student”. Explain why. Students will be able to define and identify the stages of the water cycle. How can we develop a fitness plan that will help more students fight obesity? Which is the most important part of the story? Explain why. Students will combine main ideas together to internalize learning from notes. Students will use substitution to solve a system of two linear equations.

15 Name That Tune: A Song For Teachers; You Have Made A Difference
On the note card, write 1 question about the lyrics or theme of the song you just heard. **DO NOT LABEL THE LEVEL ** Pass your card to the left. With the card you get, label the level you think the question is and level it up or down! Level up means they need to alter it to make it the next level..if a level 3 then they it down…we will pass the cards a couple of times
