I Chronicles 11: 10,14, 15-19

2. To restore – “to give back” “to mend” “to live” “to make whole” “to return”
Passion – “of like feelings and affections” “to glow with heat” “to suffer” (Acts 1:3)
God is passionate about you and wants intimacy with you
Exodus 34:14 – “For you shall worship no other god; for the Lord, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous – impassioned God.” (Amplified)

3. Psalm 139:1,2 – “O Lord, you have searched me and you know me
Psalm 139:1,2 – “O Lord, you have searched me and you know me. You know when I sit and when I rise; you perceive my thoughts from afar.”
Zephaniah 3:17 – “The Lord your God is with you, he is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you, he will quiet you with his love, he will rejoice over you with singing.”
2. The choice to act passionately towards God is often taken with risks, but the rewards out weigh the risks

4. “Convictions generated from a genuine encounter with the living God create the passionate act and the strength to carry out the action.”

5. Moses heard the wish of God at the burning bush
John the Baptist heard the wishes of God in the desert
Peter heard from the rooftop
Mary the mother of Jesus heard the wishes of God through an angel

6. 3. A divine energy creates the Ultimate Passion
In the Old Testament the Holy Spirit would come upon them
In the New Testament the Holy Spirit has come to live within us.

Am I making spiritual progress?

7. Romans 12:11a – “….never be lacking in zeal..”
Lacking – to pull back, hesitate, retreat, lack of ambition, procrastinate, decline
Can I really know where I’m at?
Those who know their God have:
Great energy for God (Daniel 11:32)
Great thoughts of God (Daniel 4:25)
Great boldness for God (Acts 5:29)
Great contentment in God (Romans 5:1)

8. Reasons for spiritual decline:
Too passionate for something or someone else
Too familiar with the good things of God
Too tired of daily struggle
Too afraid of what being passionate might mean
Sin
Am I enthusiastic towards God?
Am I actively serving others?
