Recommendations from the Florida Committee for Early Grade Success Move Star Literacy exam to last 30 days of VPK Use a tablet instead of mouse and keyboard Changes the probationary period from a standard to 5 years to a 2-5 year window. Requires a CLASS assessment be done on every VPK classroom

DCF Enforcement Definitions
Class I violations are the most serious in nature, pose an imminent threat to a child including abuse or neglect and which could or does result in death or serious harm to the health, safety or well-being of a child. Class II violations are less serious in nature than Class I violations, and could be anticipated to pose a threat to the health, safety or well-being of a child, although the threat is not imminent. Class III violations are less serious in nature than either Class I or Class II violations, and pose a low potential for harm to children.

Examples of common violations issued by DCF in Duval County
Class I Violations: Supervision-Children getting out of the childcare center/playground and walking down the street completely unsupervised or children left alone on childcare van. Background Screening-Unscreened individual left alone to care for children. Discipline-child abuse or neglect Class II Violations: Ratio/Supervision-out of DCF ratio Background Screening–missing or expired documentation Toxic substances and Hazardous Materials - within reach of children Class III Violations: Record keeping-Immunization Records and Health Forms Training-not completed before staff is left alone with children Outdoor Equipment – Playgrounds/Fencing

House Bill 1091 – School Readiness Program Assessments (SRPA)
You should have received an with login information. Review your reports to determine areas of strength and areas for growth. Use myT as a resource to learn about those areas for growth. myTeachstone You will receive an that your composite score is ready within 2 weeks after your last observation. You will receive your score reports for each classroom assessed in approximately 2 weeks of your last assessment. Program Composite Score Assessor will arrive within you 1 hour window. Assessor will verify classroom and teacher information. Assessor will provide a CLASS overview after the assessment. Assessment Day SRPA are scheduled at least 2 weeks in advance. You will receive a 1 hour arrival window. You may select up to 3 blackout dates if you need them. Scheduling Register as soon as possible after you receive your registration letter. Be sure to include ALL of your classrooms and list ALL of your teachers. Registration

Calculation of SR Payments 1.Rates are compiled using the Annual Provider Update surveys submitted by providers to the Coalitions 2.Office of Early Learning takes the survey results and gives each Coalition the maximum rate that they can pay 3.The rates are separated by county and broken down by provider type and care level
