Welcome to week 6 of our Destiny series
Welcome to week 6 of our Destiny series. Today we are going to learn how to actually live our destiny.

Here is what we covered during the last five weeks:

We saw that destiny is a specific task that God wants me to do on earth.

Destiny lies at the intersection of four things: Ability, Passion, Need, Conscience

We started to actually discover what our destiny is.

So how do I find my destiny
So how do I find my destiny? Get to know my abilities, passion, needs around me and my conscience.

My God-Given Destiny: You described your destiny in a few statements and then completed the sentence: God has put me on earth to…

Test Your Destiny: You asked yourself two questions to check that your destiny is on track: (1) How does it glorify God? (2) How does it build others?

Last week you spent time refining your destiny.

Moses led the people out of slavery in Egypt to freedom in the promised land!

Gideon defeated the whole Midianite army with just 500 soldiers!

David defeated Goliath and some years later becomes king of Israel.

Solomon built an amazing temple so the people could worship God properly!

We shared our destiny statements in small groups

Some of you even got to share your destiny with the big group.

Today we are going to explore what it takes to actually live our destiny.

Some things will stop us from living our destiny (red light things) … and other things will help us to live our destiny (green light things).

During the world war in Britain – when England was getting a hiding and at risk of being over-run by the Germans and wiped off the face of the earth, their prime minister. Winston Churchill got on the radio and called Britons to step up and live their destiny. He said: "To every man there comes in his lifetime that special moment when he is figuratively tapped on the shoulder and offered a chance to do a very special thing, unique to him and fitted to his talents…

He added: “What a tragedy if that moment finds him unprepared or unqualified for the work which would be his finest hour."

What was Winston Churchill referring to
What was Winston Churchill referring to? What would make them unprepared or unqualified for the hour?

Small groups: What could stop you living your destiny?

What stopped King David from living his destiny
What stopped King David from living his destiny? 2 Samuel 11:1-5 - In the spring, at the time when kings go off to war, David sent Joab out with the king's men and the whole Israelite army. They destroyed the Ammonites and besieged Rabbah. But David remained in Jerusalem. One evening David got up from his bed and walked around on the roof of the palace. From the roof he saw a woman bathing. The woman was very beautiful, and David sent someone to find out about her. The man said, "Isn't this Bathsheba, the daughter of Eliam and the wife of Uriah the Hittite?" Then David sent messengers to get her. She came to him, and he slept with her. Then she went back home. She conceived and sent word to David, saying, "I am pregnant.“

Next week we will explore what will help you live out your destiny???
